Analyst/Developer - Hamilton Public Library

  • Maintaining public facing websites, and applications that cumulatively handle over five million visits per year
  • Utilizing a Continuous Improvement development solutions mainly in Drupal 7/8 on traditional and containerized hosting platforms
  • Planning, developing, and maintaining the Red Book, a Human Service Data Specification database of non-profit services and organizations for the Greater Hamilton Area
  • Records data automatically supplemented from various public APIs for location, electoral, and geographical data
  • Data is publicly available on a REST endpoint and through API updates to Ontario's 211 information service
  • Analyze and provide recommendations for hosting, software, SaaS and other tools that align with strategic priorities, best practices and goals for the future, while also being cognizant of the costs associated with such solutions, and investigating all avenues and types of solutions
